Alteryx is hiring a Principal Platform Architect to lead cross-cutting architectural initiatives across their cloud platform, which is undergoing significant evolution to support large-scale multi-tenant workloads, customer extensibility, and improved developer experience. You'll drive system-wide transformations like cloud migrations, establish cross-platform architecture alignment, and partner with product, platform, and infrastructure teams to ensure consistent, scalable outcomes—combining architectural leadership with hands-on execution. Required experience includes a strong software engineering background with proven success building and evolving complex distributed systems, leading large-scale technical changes (migrations or re-architectures), solid understanding of cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and Kubernetes, and demonstrated ability to influence across teams without authority. The role offers a competitive salary range of $215,000–$300,000 plus bonus, fully remote-friendly position, and includes a $150 monthly connectivity stipend and comprehensive benefits. Preferred background in data platforms, analytics systems, or internal developer platforms (IDPs) is valued but not required.
