You'll own features end-to-end from customer discovery through delivery, architect and implement LLM-powered agents with tool calling and knowledge retrieval, and use AI development tools (Cursor, Claude) as a core part of your workflow to ship fast. Required experience includes strong software engineering fundamentals (backend, APIs, distributed systems), hands-on AI product work with LLMs and agents, advanced prompting skills, and proficiency with modern AI coding platforms; you must have high agency, extreme ownership, velocity bias, and customer empathy in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment. This is a fully remote U.S. role at an established, well-funded company (Sequoia, Mayfield backed) with competitive compensation ($187–$220K base plus equity and benefits), but notably no visa sponsorship is available. The deal-breaker: you need to be deeply comfortable with AI tools embedded in your daily workflow and direct customer interaction; this role is not for engineers who prefer fully-scoped requirements, long design cycles, or narrow ownership.
