CData is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to embed with enterprise customers and deliver AI integrations using CData's Connect AI platform. You'll configure MCP servers, build AI agent integrations in Python/Java/C#, connect complex data systems with governed access, and validate end-to-end production workflows across customer environments, working alongside an FDE Architect and reporting to the Director of Forward Deployed Engineering. The role requires 4–7 years of software engineering, data engineering, or technical consulting experience with a proven track record of shipping production code, deep understanding of how LLMs consume data and how MCP works, proficiency in Python/Java/C# with API integration experience, and strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You'll operate on a multi-sprint delivery cadence with weekly customer demos, own deployment health, triage production issues, and feed field insights directly back to the product roadmap. The position is remote (US only, EST or West Coast preferred) with up to 25% travel required; base salary is $150,000–$175,000 depending on experience and location.
