Firstup, which serves 40 Fortune 100 companies as a workforce communications platform, is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer for Frontend to lead the development of scalable, high-performance frontend architectures on the Product Engineering team. The role centers on building modern React applications with a component-driven approach, owning a reusable component library, defining comprehensive frontend testing strategies, optimizing performance, and using AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality. Required qualifications include 5+ years building high-performance frontend applications at scale, expert-level React (Hooks, state management) and TypeScript, proficiency with Jest/React Testing Library/Cypress/Playwright, design systems or component library experience with WCAG accessibility focus, and demonstrated ability to critically validate AI-assisted code outputs; a CS degree or equivalent practical experience is needed.
