Who we are

We’re building Found so self-employed people have the support, structure, and confidence to work for themselves. Our founding team has hands-on experience with taxes and accounting, financial services and FinTech, self-employment, and scaling startups. Our team is dedicated to taking care of business banking, expense tracking, and tax saving so self-employed people have more time to do what they do best.

In 2019, we started by identifying a real problem that we could solve—not a technology in search of a problem—and began building our v1 product. We launched in March 2020 and spent the rest of the year building out and validating a solid technical and operational foundation. We are thrilled to announce that we have completed a $50 million Series C investment round. Sequoia Capital, who previously led our Series A, is leading this round with participation from existing investors Lightspeed and Founders Fund, and we are welcoming new investor Khosla Ventures.

The nature of employment is shifting, and self-employment has hit a new all-time high. We built Found because we believe these individuals deserve a better toolset to run their businesses, and this latest round of funding enables us to accelerate our work and address those needs.

What we’re building

Found is on a mission to make self-employment easier. With business banking and smart, simple financial tools, we help people seamlessly run their own businesses. With over half the U.S.
