Glydways is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to join their Embedded team working on firmware for autonomous transit vehicles. This role involves designing and building production vehicle firmware, optimizing applications in real-time operating systems, implementing communication protocols (SPI, UART, CAN, TCP/UDP), and collaborating across hardware, autonomy, and infrastructure teams throughout the vehicle lifecycle. Required skills include expert-level C/C++, strong knowledge of communication protocols, RTOS experience (especially FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS), time synchronization protocols, and safety-critical systems experience. The position offers $200k–$250k base plus stock options in California. Bonus experience includes automotive/transit background, multi-device firmware deployment, hardware debugging, device drivers, and CAN/DBC knowledge—this is a hardware-focused embedded role where hands-on debugging and low-level optimization are central to the work.

Cybersecurity Engineer at Glydways (autonomous transit platform). The role focuses on operational technology (OT) network security for autonomous vehicle communication systems, including 5G, WiFi, ultra-wide band, GNSS, and automotive Ethernet.
