Greenhouse is hiring an independent contractor through Deel to join the Enterprise Apps team, building an AI-native operating layer with internal tooling, agents, and automations that help reduce toil across the company. You'll work end-to-end on high-impact workflow automation projects, partnering with teams across Talent Acquisition, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, and others to identify opportunities and ship production solutions. Key responsibilities include architecting the AI/agentic stack, designing and operating SaaS integrations at scale, building full-stack Python and TypeScript services, and establishing strong engineering practices around testing, documentation, and observability. You'll need 5+ years of production software engineering experience with strong Python/TypeScript skills, React frontend experience, deep PostgreSQL knowledge, proven SaaS integration expertise, and a track record of mentoring engineers. This is a 12-month non-exclusive remote contractor role based in Argentina working with a distributed US/Canada team, with reasonable availability required for coordination; notably, this is a contractor engagement (not employment) with no employment relationship or Argentine labor entitlements created.

You'll own two main areas: building the surface that lets engineers and non-engineers across Greenhouse create and deploy their own agents and automations, and standing up the underlying infrastructure (services, runtime, deployment, observability, and AWS footprint) needed for reliable shipping. This requires 5+ years of production engineering on platforms or developer-experience products, strong Python and TypeScript, hands-on AWS/GCP operations experience (compute, networking, IAM, Terraform), solid PostgreSQL skills, and a track record of working closely with users to shape products based on real workflows. This is a ~12-month non-exclusive remote contract role based in Argentina, working with a distributed US/Canada team and requiring reasonable availability for coordination. The role is notably infrastructure-heavy and AI-systems focused, requiring both platform-builder mindset and expertise in evaluation and observability for agents and automations in production.
