Owner is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and operate the cloud infrastructure powering their AI-native restaurant management platform. This is a senior individual-contributor role with broad ownership over infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and developer enablement on AWS. You'll be responsible for designing reliable, secure systems; operating a Kubernetes-based platform; building fast CI/CD pipelines; improving developer experience through self-service tooling; and strengthening monitoring, alerting, and incident response. Required experience includes deep production cloud operations on AWS, strong Infrastructure as Code skills (ideally Terraform), extensive real-world Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting, hands-on CI/CD pipeline building, and a strong empathy for developer pain points—you should think in platforms and leverage rather than relying on documentation alone. Owner has generated tens of millions in revenue since 2020, processed over a billion dollars in orders, and serves 20,000+ restaurants; they're a remote-first company headquartered in San Francisco with a sales hub in Toronto, backed by Series C funding and offering pre-IPO equity alongside a $190K–$240K base (depending on level and location). This role specifically emphasizes the intersection of reliability, security, and developer productivity—you'll be eliminating manual workflows and setting golden paths for how services are built and run across the organization.
