Podium Automation is hiring a Sales Engineer to be the technical face of the company's sales motion, joining a well-funded startup (a16z American Dynamism, SV Angel backing) that's automating industrial control panel manufacturing to compress lead times from months to days. You'll lead discovery calls with customers, translate their electrical specs and diagrams into accurate quotes, coordinate between sales/engineering/operations teams, and help build the processes and tooling that scale the commercial operation. The role requires 3+ years in sales engineering, applications engineering, or technical pre-sales with strong working knowledge of industrial control panels, motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and the ability to read single-line diagrams and communicate technical tradeoffs to both engineers and non-technical buyers. This is a founding commercial role where your work directly impacts how fast the company delivers to customers, so you'll be shaping playbooks and internal tooling from the ground up. An electrical engineering background or experience selling into industrial end markets (data centers, utilities, manufacturing, energy) is a plus, as is familiarity with UL 508A standards.
