Senior Cloud Engineer at Sovrn, a software and data company helping independent web publishers, who will design enterprise-grade AWS architectures and lead infrastructure modernization across the engineering organization. Key responsibilities include architecting and managing large-scale cloud infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM), optimizing Databricks lakehouse platforms, leading Infrastructure as Code adoption with Terraform, owning observability and incident response, and mentoring engineers at multiple levels while communicating technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders. Required experience includes deep AWS proficiency with production architectures, expertise in petascale data lakehouse platforms (Databricks/Snowflake), hands-on Terraform and CI/CD pipeline development, cloud security and IAM governance, observability system design, and strong cross-functional communication skills; AWS Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer certification is a strong plus. Based in Boulder, Colorado with in-office requirements for candidates within 20 miles and hybrid options otherwise, the role offers $130,000–$160,000 base salary plus bonus and equity.
