The Boring Company is seeking a Receiving Specialist to support warehouse and operations teams by managing incoming materials, verifying shipments, and ensuring inventory is accurately received, documented, and stored. Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, parts, tools, and equipment against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment to unload, move, and stage incoming shipments.
- Accurately document receipts, discrepancies, damages, and shortages in inventory or ERP systems.
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, production, and logistics teams to resolve shipment issues quickly.
- Label, organize, and move received materials to proper storage or staging areas.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient receiving area while following company safety procedures.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and general warehouse support as needed.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of receiving, warehouse, inventory, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse or material-handling equipment preferred.
- Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, part numbers, and basic inventory documentation.
- Comfortable using computers, scanners, and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
