Accountabilities:
- Perform pre-invoice validation of contracts, pricing structures, orders, and billing schedules to ensure accuracy prior to invoicing.
- Conduct post-invoice audits to identify billing discrepancies, revenue leakage, and inconsistencies in accounts receivable records.
- Investigate root causes of billing errors and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Validate product configurations, SKUs, entitlements, and billing logic to ensure alignment with contractual terms.
- Develop, implement, and enforce billing quality standards and controls across the O2C lifecycle.
- Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators such as billing accuracy, error rates, and process efficiency metrics.
- Build dashboards and analytical reports to support visibility into billing performance and operational risk.
- Support system implementations, testing activities, and data validation during platform changes or upgrades.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and AI-driven improvements in billing operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and operational best practices.
- Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members to strengthen overall team capability.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in billing operations, revenue assurance, auditing, or financial operations roles.
- Experience in SaaS, MSP, subscription, or services-based billing environments strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of contract terms, pricing models, and billing processes, including usage-based or subscription models.
- Experience working with ERP, PSA, or billing systems and supporting system audits or implementations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and root causes in complex datasets.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across finance, operations, and technical teams to resolve issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to document findings and present insights clearly.
