Accountabilities:

    The Forward-Deployed Product Designer will lead design initiatives across customer implementations while transforming customer insights into scalable product improvements. This role requires close collaboration with customers, engineering teams, and product leaders to create clear, effective, and reusable experiences.

    • Partner directly with customers to understand business operations, user workflows, roles, challenges, and success criteria.
    • Translate complex requirements into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and implementation-ready product specifications.
    • Own the design direction for customer deployments, ensuring experiences are intuitive, consistent, and aligned with operational needs.
    • Facilitate design reviews with customers and internal teams to create alignment and accelerate decision-making.
    • Collaborate with forward-deployed engineers and product managers to ensure successful delivery of designed solutions.
    • Convert customer conversations and feedback into actionable design decisions and clear implementation requirements.
    • Communicate design tradeoffs effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Support customer onboarding, project scoping, delivery cycles, and iterative improvements.
    • Identify recurring workflows, interface patterns, and customer needs to contribute to reusable design systems and components.
    • Develop scalable design artifacts, templates, and processes that improve future deployments.
    • Share customer insights with product teams to influence roadmap decisions and identify high-impact opportunities.
    • Help evolve custom customer solutions into repeatable platform capabilities.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced product designer who thrives in customer-facing environments and enjoys solving complex workflow challenges. They should have strong design judgment, technical awareness, and the ability to balance customer-specific requirements with scalable product thinking.

      • 5+ years of experience designing digital products, preferably within SaaS, enterprise software, ERP, internal tools, operational systems, or developer platforms.
      • Proven ability to design complex workflow-based products used by multiple users and stakeholder groups.
      • Experience translating ambiguous customer problems into clear product experiences and actionable design specifications.
      • Strong customer-facing skills, including facilitating discovery sessions, presenting concepts, and incorporating feedback.
      • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex processes and communicate ideas visually.
      • Strong systems-thinking mindset with experience creating reusable components, interaction patterns, and design systems.
      • Ability to balance immediate customer needs with long-term product scalability.
      • Technical fluency and comfort collaborating closely with engineers on implementation decisions.
      • Experience using coding agents or similar tools to create working prototypes, contribute code changes, collaborate through pull requests, and understand technical tradeoffs.
      • Familiarity with APIs, data models, workflows, permissions, or configurable software platforms is a strong plus.
      • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
      • Based in the United States or within US time zones, with approximately 10–20% travel expected.
      • Nice-to-have experience includes:

        • Background designing ERP systems, internal tools, operational SaaS, supply chain, inventory, order management, finance, or commerce solutions.
        • Experience with low-code, no-code, composable, or developer-focused platforms.
        • Consulting, implementation, or customer onboarding experience.
        • Experience maintaining or contributing to design systems and component libraries.
