Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: 2nd Shift, 4:30 PM until finished
Pay: Starting at $24+/hour (based on experience)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a food manufacturing facility by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment. This role is essential to keeping operations running safely and efficiently while meeting USDA/FDA food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs
• Install, assemble, and maintain machinery and electrical systems
• Read and interpret schematics and equipment manuals
• Weld or fabricate parts as needed
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in a computerized system
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Support production and perform other maintenance duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (35°F–45°F)
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. (with assistance) and work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work with a sense of urgency
