The Issue Management Apprentice will support the team in managing and tracking operational risk events (OREs) and issues across the KYC / EDD program. This role will focus on ensuring effective coordination, timely follow-ups, and proper documentation to support issue resolution and closure in partnership with Control Management and relevant stakeholders.
Maintain and update the ORE and Issue Tracker, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data.
Track progress of open issues and OREs, proactively following up with relevant stakeholders to drive timely closure.
Coordinate with Control Management, business teams, and other stakeholders to gather required evidence and documentation for issue validation and closure.
Support the end-to-end lifecycle of issue management, including identification, logging, tracking, escalation, and closure.
Assist in preparing status reports and dashboards highlighting issue aging, trends, and key risks.
Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness for all issues and ORE-related activities.
Help identify process gaps and contribute to improving issue tracking, reporting, and governance processes.
Support internal reviews, audits, and governance routines by providing accurate data and documentation.
Recently completed a degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Good understanding of risk, compliance, or governance processes (preferred but not mandatory).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data tracking and reporting tools is a plus.
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
Ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to follow-ups and issue resolution.
