Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely.

We are transforming the legal experience for all by bettering the lives of legal professionals while increasing access to justice.

Summary:

We're looking for a Senior Solutions Consultant in Toronto to join our Sales team.

Who you are:

You recognize that financial and accounting systems are the foundation of successful law firms. If you have experience managing billing and office operations as a Bookkeeper or Firm Administrator, or if you've sold SaaS solutions like Aderant, Xero, Quickbooks, or Sage, you understand the complexities firms face when scaling their business. This is an opportunity for you to guide law firms on how to work smarter, faster, and more securely using Clio's legal intelligence platform.

What your team does:

You'll join our Solutions Consulting team, which serves as the swiss army knife for our entire sales organization. Using your hybrid skill set, you'll explain how our platform and partner ecosystem solve specific problems while clearly articulating value to customers. You'll partner closely with Account Executives to help close new business by navigating the complex technical and financial challenges facing law firms.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead Technical Strategy: Own the technical deal cycle across your assigned opportunities, enabling firms to scale by solving complex hurdles in financial reporting, automated billing, and trust accounting compliance.

  • Own the Demo Strategy: Define and own the demonstration strategy for Clio's financial performance suite, including Clio Accounting and Clio Payments, setting the standard for how these products are shown across the sales team.

  • Articulate Value: Collaborate with Sales to clearly explain Clio's financial core capabilities and third-party integrations.

  • Build Proof of Concepts: Create technical demonstrations that connect product features back to tangible business value and ROI.

  • Drive Revenue Goals: Partner with Sales to create urgency and contribute to the team's revenue targets.

  • Enable the Sales Team: Equip Account Executives with the financial and technical knowledge they need to sell confidently, sharing expertise that levels up the broader team.

  • Manage the Sales Lifecycle: Support the full sales cycle, from initial technical scoping and architecture to a smooth handoff to Customer Success.

  • Influence the Product: Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to share market feedback and influence the future product roadmap.

  • Maintain Expertise: Stay current on industry news and technology products to ensure you remain an expert in the legal and financial ecosystem.

What You Bring:

  • Relevant Experience: You have at least 2 years of experience managing law firm operations as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, or Firm Administrator. Alternatively, you have spent that time selling and supporting financial software such as Aderant, Elite, FreshBooks, Quickbooks, NetSuite, Sage, Xero, or other relevant SaaS solutions.

  • Communication Skills: The ability to explain complex technical or financial solutions clearly to various stakeholders.

  • Technical Proficiency: A solid understanding of cloud technologies, including APIs, financial database migrations, and security infrastructure.

  • Problem Solving: A creative and curious mindset used to find solutions for difficult technical or operational problems.

  • Relationship Building: The ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with both internal teams and external customers.

  • Adaptability: Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift and ambiguity is part of the job.

Serious Bonus Points If You:

  • Hold a CPA designation or other accounting accreditation.

  • Have experience with legal practice management or legal research solutions.

  • Have a baseline understanding of legal domain knowledge.

  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate your work (e.g. draft tailored RFP responses, build demo environments, analyze data).

This role is a backfill for an existing position.
