Accountabilities:

The Full Stack Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and operation of a data-intensive platform that integrates information from multiple sources, processes complex datasets, and delivers intuitive visualization and analytics experiences. This role requires strong technical ownership across the stack, from backend systems and infrastructure to user-facing applications.

    • Design and build scalable backend services using modern systems programming languages, primarily Go and Rust.
    • Develop and maintain multi-source data ingestion pipelines that collect, transform, deduplicate, and route information across specialized storage systems.
    • Build web applications that enable users to visualize, explore, and analyze complex datasets through interactive interfaces.
    • Create and improve data access layers that leverage relational, graph, and analytical databases according to their strengths.
    • Design and maintain cloud-native deployments using managed Kubernetes environments, ensuring reliable operations and reproducible builds.
    • Implement strong observability practices through distributed tracing, metrics, logging, and operational dashboards.
    • Develop secure and maintainable APIs with thoughtful abstractions across heterogeneous systems.
    • Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning, and engineering documentation processes.
    • Write design documents, Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), acceptance criteria, and other technical materials to support effective implementation.
    • Collaborate with engineering teammates to improve system reliability, scalability, and overall development practices.
    • Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong full-stack capabilities and a passion for building reliable, high-performance systems. You should have experience working across backend development, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and modern frontend technologies while being comfortable solving complex technical challenges.

      • 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend services.
      • Strong programming experience in a modern systems or application language, with deep expertise in Go and/or Rust preferred.
      • Experience developing production applications with Go web frameworks such as Buffalo, Echo, Chi, or Gin.
      • Familiarity with Rust asynchronous ecosystems, including technologies such as Tokio, Axum, Tower, or tracing.
      • Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL.
      • Knowledge of graph databases and/or columnar analytical data stores is a plus.
      • Hands-on experience deploying and operating services in Kubernetes environments, including managed clusters, Helm charts, and troubleshooting production issues.
      • Experience building modern web applications using React, TypeScript, Vite, and mapping libraries.
      • Experience implementing and maintaining OpenTelemetry instrumentation beyond default configurations.
      • Strong API design and software architecture skills, with the ability to make effective trade-offs across complex systems.
      • Excellent technical communication skills, including the ability to document designs, decisions, and engineering approaches clearly.
      • Benefits:

        • Competitive salary range of $150,000 - $185,000 USD, plus equity opportunities.
        • Compensation based on experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and market alignment.
        • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
        • HSA and FSA options.
        • Parental leave benefits.
        • 401(k) plan with 100% company match on the first 6% contributed.
        • Unlimited paid time off.
        • Home office stipend to support a productive remote setup.
        • Opportunity to work on impactful technology supporting critical operational missions.
