This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Provider is expected to document into CPRS in a timely manner, participate in Process Improvement/Quality Assurance projects and participate in usual Medical Staff activity including committee participation. Administrative duties are general oversight of the operations of the Section of Infectious Diseases including but not limited to clinical care, on-call care, antimicrobial approvals, and other clinical duties as detailed by the Section Chief of Infectious Diseases. Provider is expected to maintain Joint Commission readiness. Major duties include but may not be limited to: Administrative Evaluates quality improvement projects in relation to the quality of care or process of care. Clinical Provide independent care delivery for infectious diseases consultations and patient care. Education Supervise trainees including medical students, internal medicine residents, family medicine residents, nurse practitioner residents, and infectious diseases fellows.
