GEICO is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Chief Financial Officer in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The candidate must be a high-energy, self-starting, highly collaborative professional with a demonstrated track record of exercising good judgment, communicating effectively, and operating with exceptional attention to detail. In addition, the ideal candidate will bring a strong service and hospitality mindset, the ability to anticipate needs before they arise, and the confidence to manage multiple priorities with professionalism while contributing as a trusted partner in a highly visible executive office. This is a role for someone who can ramp quickly, stay up to speed in a changing environment, and help a new CFO operate effectively from day one.
Job Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day executive support to the Chief Financial Officer, including proactive calendar management, prioritization of requests, and preparation for meetings, staff calls, and leadership sessions
Field inquiries and determine the appropriate level of urgency while using sound judgment and discretion in handling highly sensitive personal and professional information
Coordinate complex domestic and international travel, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, itineraries, tracking, and real-time adjustments for changes or disruptions
Take the lead on coordination and logistics for internal and external meetings, executive offsites, leadership dinners, partner visits, and other high-visibility events, including venue arrangements, catering, AV, materials, and on-site support
Support key events and executive priorities, providing off-hours support as needed to ensure seamless execution and responsiveness
Handle regular activities without prompting, stay ahead of deadlines, and provide timely notice of issues, conflicts, or delays
Assist in preparing and editing presentations, spreadsheets, itineraries, briefing materials, correspondence, and other executive documents with a high standard of accuracy and polish
Initiate process improvements and consistently drive efficient, thoughtful support that helps the finance organization move quickly and stay organized
Work closely with finance, administrative, and other cross-functional partners on ad-hoc projects and initiatives, and take ownership of follow-through where strong executive coordination is needed
Work cooperatively with other administrative professionals to provide backup support, maintain continuity, and contribute to smooth office and team operations
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience supporting senior leaders in an executive assistant, administrative, office coordination, hospitality, events, or similar role, or equivalent experience and education
Strong collaborative skills, sound judgment, and exceptional attention to detail in a fast-moving environment
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively
High personal integrity, including the capacity to discreetly handle highly confidential and sensitive information
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to work effectively with a variety of departments and personalities, build positive working relationships, and support senior executives with professionalism and maturity
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting a fast-paced executive in a corporate environment
Event planning or hospitality experience, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-part logistics and create a polished experience for attendees
Familiarity with enterprise tools such as SharePoint, Workday, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms
Experience working with finance, corporate functions, or executive leadership teams
Strong interest in learning from senior leadership and contributing as a proactive partner with aspirations to grow over time
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Location: This position requires the individual to work onsite 5 days per week in Bethesda office.

Annual Salary
$32.05 - $50.36The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
