Practical Hardware Electronics Test Engineer
Our Lab team in Israel Yokneam seeks a Practical Hardware Electronics/Test Engineer to join the IC Product Engineering Group. The team leads the development of networking infrastructure for NVIDIA next-generation data centers focusing on accelerated performance while enabling optimized end to end GPU connectivity. We are looking for a hands-on and diligent Practical Engineer with strong lab skills, who enjoys working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Perform, execute and track stress flow, units’ acceptance, visual inspection, flow validation, debugging activities in the lab, document results, and clearly communicate findings with engineering teams
- Document stress/test failures and communicate findings clearly to engineering teams
- Operate and characterize lab equipment such as testers, environmental stress, HTOL ovens, oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic/spectrum analyzers, and multi-meters
- Run ATE test program on tester, perform first line debug (like 2D Shmoo)
- Address setup issues and troubleshoot these issues' resolution like sockets cleaning, pressure adjustments etc.
- Perform HW acceptance, bring-up, validation, and problem-solving efforts within the testing environment
- Demonstrate good understanding of LB schematics and design to aid debug.
- Actively participate with multi-functional teams including Product Development Engineering to efficiently debug product failures and implement optimal solutions.
What we need to see:
- Practical Engineer Diploma or Technician in Electronics or other technical Diploma or equivalent experience and proven experience
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a hardware or reliability lab environment
- Proven experience with lab equipment and board-level debugging
- Good technical English for reading datasheets and writing reports
- Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork approach
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Experience working with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes)
- Familiarity with thermal/mechanical test setups
- Experience with test automation
- Ability to understand schematics and PCB layout
- Proven “can do” approach and hands on problem solving
