About the Position: This position is located at the 66th Medical Group, Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Plan all facets of the installation Environmental and Occupational Health Program, to include radiation health, as directed by leadership of the Bioenvironmental Engineering element. Review regulatory requirements prior to conducting comprehensive occupational and environmental health surveys, evaluations, and audits to assess hazards. Develop sampling strategies using indirect and direct reading instruments such as pumps, meters, heat stress monitors, and/or dosimeters, to quantify assess and quantify hazards. Determine compliance with applicable regulations for occupational health, safety, and environmental hazards and practices and recommend corrective action. Assist in the development of instruction designed to inform employees, supervisors, management, and other personnel on related occupational and industrial health, safety, and environmental issues. Provide emergency response guidance to on-scene commanders, fire fighters, and other emergency response personnel as needed.
