About the role and team

In this role, you will be the engine behind Uber Eats’ growth, responsible for bringing the best local and regional small and medium merchants onto our platform. This isn't a typical sales job—it's about navigating the messy reality of cold-calling, handling frequent rejection, and winning over busy business owners who don’t always have a script.

Success here requires a mix of grit and resourcefulness. You’ll need to thrive in a high-volume, high-stakes environment where you’re expected to make 50+ dials a day while maintaining the energy to close deals in person. What you’ll do

  • Own and manage a high-volume pipeline of local merchants, using a mix of persistent cold-calling and in-person meetings to sign new partnerships.
  • Navigate tough contract negotiations to establish sustainable economics for both the partner and Uber, ensuring a strong foundation for long-term collaboration.
  • Communicate the value of Uber’s products with clarity and conviction, acting as an ambassador to develop trust with skeptical prospects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Account Management teams to unblock dependencies and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new partners.
  • Adapt your approach based on shifting market dynamics and daily performance metrics to consistently exceed monthly sales targets.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in sales, account management, or similar client-facing roles.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and persuasively via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Experience meeting or exceeding measurable performance targets or quotas.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing a full sales cycle and using CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Resilience and a "roll up your sleeves" mindset with a high tolerance for cold-calling and rejection.
  • Strong curiosity and critical thinking skills to solve merchant problems on your feet.
  • Background in e-commerce, restaurant, or hospitality commercial environments.

For Canada-based roles: The base hourly rate for this role is CAD $25.73 per hour - CAD $27.17 per hour. Additionally, our Sales Representatives are eligible to participate in the Company’s Incentive program and will be eligible for a cash variable incentive target of CAD $35,679 - CAD $37,676 annually based on individual sales performance, with any amount of incentive payment based on the terms of the Sales Incentive Plan.
