We are looking for a passionate and versatile Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic and international HR team for a 12-month maternity cover. In this role, you will contribute to the full employee lifecycle while supporting colleagues across multiple countries and cultures.
Beyond the day-to-day HR operations, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of specific HR initiatives and projects, helping us continuously improve how we support our people and organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys combining operational excellence with project ownership and process improvement in a purpose-driven international environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll & Benefits Administration: Manage payroll coordination and benefits administration for our headquarters and international offices. You will work closely with external providers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll processing, compliance with local regulations, and an excellent employee experience.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Support colleagues throughout their employee journey—from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding. Prepare employment contracts and HR documentation, ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, and contribute to a seamless employee experience.
- Employee Relations & HR Advisory: Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters, policies, benefits, and processes. Help foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
- HR Data, Systems & Reporting: Maintain and improve the quality of employee data within our HR systems. Generate HR reports and workforce insights, support audits, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Vendor & Budget Administration: Coordinate HR-related vendors and service providers, process invoices, and collaborate closely with Finance to ensure timely and accurate administration.
- Process Improvement & Digitalization: Support the continuous optimization and digitalization of HR processes. Bring new ideas and help us further enhance efficiency, service quality, and employee experience.
- Ownership of HR Initiatives: Depending on your interests and experience, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of dedicated HR topics and projects. These may include areas such as employee wellbeing, engagement initiatives, HR communications, process innovation, or other global HR programs.
What we expect:
- University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Several years of relevant HR experience, ideally within an international organization
- Solid understanding of German payroll-related processes and HR regulations
- Hands-on experience working with HR systems and digital tools
- Strong MS Office skills
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English
- Customer-focused mindset with strong service orientation
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Structured, analytical and detail-oriented working style
- A proactive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for improving the employee experience
