Ferguson is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to join our Pipe Yard & Fabrication Team and help shape the associate experience in a manufacturing and production environment. This is an onsite opportunity located in Fulton, MS.

The position supports approximately 60 hourly associates and 5 exempt leaders across fabrication, yard operations, shipping, receiving, and support functions. This role focuses on associate engagement, leadership development, talent management, workplace relations, and encouraging a culture centered on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

As a trusted business partner, the HR Generalist provides day-to-day guidance to associates and leaders on performance management, talent development, workforce planning, policy interpretation, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent HR practices while supporting a fast-paced industrial operation that manufactures and fabricates customized piping solutions for customers throughout the country.

This role will collaborate closely with site leadership to support staffing strategies, workforce development, succession planning, training initiatives, safety-focused culture efforts, and change management activities that drive operational success and associate growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess gaps and opportunities for improvement in HR policies, programs, and processes; recommend and implement effective solutions.

  • Collaborate alongside site leadership to support associate engagement, retention, leadership development, and workforce planning initiatives.

  • Analyze, prepare, and maintain HR metrics and reporting for leadership, including turnover, staffing, attendance, engagement, and other site performance indicators.

  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and talent resource coordination efforts to ensure staffing levels meet business demands.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for managers, supervisors, and associates on HR-related policies, compliance requirements, leadership skills, and workplace expectations.

  • Coach leaders on workforce relations issues, performance management, corrective action processes, and talent development strategies.

  • Partner with EPG in conducting workplace investigations and provide recommendations consistent with company policies and applicable laws.

  • Research and stay abreast of changing employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements; recommend updates to policies and procedures as needed.

  • Partner with Environmental Health & Safety and operations leadership to reinforce a strong safety culture and support site safety initiatives.

  • Coordinate HR audits and compliance activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution of findings.

  • Support change management and organizational initiatives within a manufacturing and fabrication environment.

  • Build trusted relationships with associates at all levels while promoting an inclusive, respectful, and high-performance workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience combined with education.

  • Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing, fabrication, industrial, warehouse, or operations environment.

  • Strong eye for business with the ability to balance operational priorities with compliance and employee experience.

  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR guidelines.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to build strong partnerships with hourly associates, supervisors, and leadership teams.

  • Proven ability to handle employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

  • Strong analytical skills with a thorough approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Effective project management, organizational, and planning abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, results-focused environment.

  • Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates integrity in all interactions.

Pay Range:

$4,325.00 - $6,916.67

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
