Key Responsibilities:

Verifies the final quality of products on the production line. Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects. Separates products that do not have the desired technical specification, using basic and/or complex measurement techniques and equipment. Documents products that do not meet technical specifications using specified systems. Trains others in the use of measurement equipment, segregation of non-conforming product and documentation. Follows the norms and standards of quality defined by the Company.

Quality Process Management - Proficient application of quality tools and methods (e.g. APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Capability studies, Process Audit, inspection, test, etc.) to ensure quality of products, processes and services.

Laboratory Management   - Leads technical resources while managing the business aspects of a laboratory using measure to control both the technical and business aspects of the organization and assuring the requirements of the appropriate certifications and/or accreditations are met. 

Education, Licenses, Certifications: 
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. 
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. 

Experience: 
Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.

  • Conduct shift handover and review quality issues from the previous shift
  • Verify drawings, control plans, inspection frequency, and latest revisions
  • Ensure gauges are available and within valid calibration
  • Carry out incoming, in-process, and final inspections as per the control plan
  • Approve first-off/setup samples before initiating mass production
  • Document inspection results in records or system
  • Monitor critical dimensions and process stability (apply SPC where required)
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming materials with proper tagging
  • Raise NC tags/stop cards and immediately notify Production and Quality Engineering (QE)
  • Prevent mixing of accepted (OK) and rejected (Not OK) materials
  • Coordinate rework, sorting, or scrap activities as needed
  • Assist in root cause analysis on the shop floor
  • Maintain inspection records, rejection logs, and ensure traceability
  • Report daily rejection trends and highlight quality risks
  • Maintain 5S, safety, and compliance in the inspection area
  • Hand over pending tasks and important instructions to the next shift
