Along with our local affiliated Dignity Health hospital (Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital), we offer an integrated care delivery system that provides primary care for family medicine and internal medicine, otolaryngology (ENT), hematology/oncology, cardiology, general surgery, urgent care, and women's health.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant, you will ensure smooth daily operations for your patients and the medical team. You can expect to support multiple patients daily, depending on physician availability.Every day you will proactively prepare patient charts, assist with patients exams or procedure and relay physician instructions, administer physician-directed medication and perform accurate vital sign measurements, manage medical records (charts and EMR), communicate patient concerns to providers, and collaborate with physicians, insurance, and pharmacies for medication authorizations and refills.To be successful in this role, you will have an enthusiasm to help others and the ability to work efficiently and provide empathy for our patients.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate General Studies or GED General Studies
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program (determination by CHWMF H.R. department in conjunction with the State Division of Allied Health Professions.)
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Preferred

  • Six (6) month's experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant preferred
