As an Director of Revenue Management, you’re not just overseeing and optimizing revenue strategy for multiple hotels in a designated region– you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Lead revenue strategy: Oversee revenue management processes for hotels within a designated geographic area, optimizing room revenue through pricing strategies, inventory control, and competitive analysis
- Manage inventory and pricing: Maintain group and transient inventory controls, review rate structures, and adjust sales strategies to maximize profitability
- Analyze market trends: Conduct demand forecasting, competitive benchmarking, and pricing analysis to inform strategic decision-making
- Optimize distribution channels: Ensure data integrity across all e-distribution platforms and monitor online booking trends for revenue opportunities
- Drive Sales & Marketing alignment: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop promotions, assess booking trends, and identify revenue-generating opportunities
- Oversee metrics: Lead budget preparation, track booking pace, and analyze monthly performance reports to refine future strategies
- Develop cross-hotel revenue opportunities: Identify synergies between properties, recommend cross-selling opportunities, and implement strategies to maximize revenue across the portfolio
