Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Salesforce data solutions with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, performance, and data integrity.
- Lead complex technical initiatives by translating business requirements into resilient architectures, data flows, implementation strategies, and long-term solutions.
- Serve as a senior technical contributor for Salesforce platforms, solving complex data challenges and making informed decisions across data modeling, automation, integration, governance, and operational support.
- Build and support integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems, ensuring strong performance, error handling, reconciliation, observability, and maintainability.
- Develop and manage data migration, transformation, enrichment, and validation processes that support business-critical Salesforce capabilities.
- Improve platform health by identifying technical debt, recommending architectural enhancements, and implementing solutions that increase efficiency and reliability.
- Partner with product teams, business stakeholders, engineers, analysts, quality teams, and data specialists to define solutions, manage dependencies, and deliver successful outcomes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation covering data models, system relationships, workflows, dependencies, operational processes, and support procedures.
- Perform troubleshooting, debugging, performance optimization, and root cause analysis for high-impact data and platform issues.
- Mentor engineers and administrators through technical guidance, design reviews, automation reviews, and knowledge sharing to improve engineering practices.
- 6+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering, Salesforce engineering, Salesforce administration, or a related technical field with experience contributing to solution design, delivery, quality processes, and engineering best practices.
- Strong expertise in Salesforce data modeling, SQL, SOQL, security, automation, platform architecture, and data lifecycle management.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, enterprise integrations, data movement, transformation processes, data quality practices, and secure system interoperability.
- Proven experience designing and supporting data integrations, migrations, transformations, reconciliations, and operational monitoring across Salesforce and connected platforms.
- Experience working with enterprise-grade ETL tools such as dbAmp or similar technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging, performance optimization, incident resolution, and technical troubleshooting.
- Ability to influence technical direction and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or architect certification required; additional architecture, data, integration, or advanced platform certifications are highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Competitive total target compensation range based on location:
- Zone 1 (San Francisco Bay Area, New York City Boroughs): $162,000 – $270,000 USD.
- Zone 2 (Washington, California excluding San Francisco Bay Area): $148,500 – $247,500 USD.
- Zone 3 (Selected US technology and business markets): $135,000 – $225,000 USD.
- Zone 4 (All other US locations): $117,500 – $195,800 USD.
