We are looking for a talented 2nd Shift Electrician – Level III to join our Cummins Inc. team in Mineral Point, WI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical system issues to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance to ensure reliable plant operations.
  • Analyzing equipment failures and support root cause identification to reduce downtime
  • Execute preventive maintenance strategies to improve equipment performance and longevity.
  • Interpret schematics and technical documentation to deliver precise, high-quality work.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and eliminate manufacturing constraints.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Coach and guide team members, strengthening overall technical capability on the floor.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • Strong expertise in electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation with accuracy.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a focus on driving results and minimizing downtime.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams and organizational levels
  • Commitment to safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement principles

 

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Key Competencies:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and electrical installations across plant systems and equipment.
  • Utilize electrical measuring and testing devices to ensure system integrity and performance.
  • Diagnose and repair advanced equipment, including welding systems, PLCs, servo systems, robotics, and variable speed drives.
  • Install and configure wiring circuits, distribution centers, switches, and control systems in accordance with specifications.
  • Apply working knowledge of factory automation, control systems, and machine programming to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and material flow.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization to support a safe work environment.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
