The I-ERP System of Delivery/Release Manager will own driving the program System of Delivery and the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the enterprise within the I-ERP program. The System of Delivery/Release Manager responsibilities also include building the Release Plan, address/track release-wide interdependencies, and working closely with other release managers to create a view of all releases
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Deployment Plan and Tracking deployment activities including constraints, dependencies and assumptions
- Support the planning and execution of production go-live deployment activities
- Support the Cutover and Integration teams to facilitate deployment plan review sessions and deployment kick-off sessions
- Proactively identify release level implementation risks and mitigation plans
- Prepare and report release status reports for program leadership team
- Coordinate activities across all workstreams and provide status reporting for the entire Release
- Manage and Drive - Functionality deployment across releases to make sure all cross Product and Program dependencies are accounted during planning of releases, execution, testing and deployment
- Manage and resolve day-to-day cross functional issues and risks, escalating to Program leadership team when necessary
- Manage change control process for the release
- Develop go live contingency/rollback and recovery/disaster plans working closely with Product Team leads
- Coordinate business cutover related tasks
- Manage the Micro Releases or Release On Demand Enhacements (Functionality, Deployment, Testing) with in the deployment plan
- Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
- Monitor overall release capacity requirements by working with Product team leads
- Support global change management processes
- Lead PDO teams to obtain and maintain appropriate base camp levels
Must-have skills
- 8+ years’ experience working in cross-functional and global teams
- Release management experience and awareness of scaled agile methodology and ceremonies
- Familiarity with Ford’s scaled agile project tracking tools (Jira, ALM)
- Awareness of Product Driven Organization model following Agile methodology
- Strong oral/written communication skills; ability to message at the right level depending on the audience
- Demonstrated proactivity and sense of urgency Strong interpersonal skills to influence/motivate people who are not direct reports;
- Ability to perform in adverse/tight timeline situations
- Demonstrated Quick thinking, positive and can-do attitude
Nice-to have skills
- Understanding the Purchasing and Finance functional area and applications is a plus
- PowerBI knowledge
- Understanding of SAP S4 and Ariba tools and product integration dependencies
- Purchasing and Finance business processes acumen
- Vendor and System Integrator management experience
