Role
We are looking for a Sr. Product Marketing Manager – Zero Trust for Agentic AI to join our team. This is a hybrid role based in San Jose, reporting to the VP, Product Marketing – AI Security in the Marketing department. AI agents are no longer a concept — they are in production today, acting autonomously, accessing sensitive systems, and making decisions on behalf of the organizations that built them. The security industry has barely begun to catch up. As the Sr. PMM for Zero Trust for Agentic AI, you will help define how enterprises think about this problem — and why Zscaler is uniquely positioned to solve it. You will build the vocabulary, the narratives, and the go-to-market foundation for one of the most consequential emerging security challenges of our time.
This role is for someone energized by ambiguity, obsessed with getting ahead of the curve, and bold enough to take a position before the market has made up its mind.
What You'll Do (Role Expectations)
- Own positioning, messaging, and end-to-end marketing strategy for Zero Trust for Agentic AI—articulating how Zero Trust principles apply to autonomous non-human identities, while driving core deliverables like solution briefs, pitch decks, web messaging, and sales enablement tools.
- Build the market education foundation, developing the content and frameworks necessary to help buyers understand agentic AI risk before they can fully articulate it themselves, establishing Zscaler as the authoritative voice in this emerging category.
- Define buyer personas across a cross-functional buying center, mapping the specific needs and motivations of Security Architects, Identity/IAM teams, Cloud Security, DevSecOps, AppSec practitioners, and CISOs navigating AI governance mandates.
- Partner with Product Management to translate early-stage technical capabilities into compelling market narratives and help shape product evolution based on customer insights and market intelligence.
- Engage continuously with customers, analysts, and the security research community to sharpen your point of view and ensure Zscaler stays ahead of the evolving agentic AI threat landscape.
Who You Are (Success Profile)
- You are relentlessly curious. Agentic AI security is being written in real time — no established playbook, no mature analyst category. You thrive in that environment. You read the research, talk to customers, and form your own point of view, because your curiosity is what makes you credible and keeps Zscaler ahead.
- You have the courage to be bold. Category creation requires conviction. You're willing to name a problem before the market has named it and build a narrative that challenges how buyers currently think. Safe, hedged messaging doesn't create categories — bold, clear points of view do.
- You care deeply. You hold your work to an uncompromising standard — the word choice, the argument structure, the clarity of a slide. You obsess over getting it right because you believe that quality of work is a form of respect for your audience, and that caring about the craft is what separates good from great.
- You thrive in ambiguity and act like an owner — navigating seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution, with integrity and a bias for action.
- You are a high-trust collaborator. Ambitious for the team, not just yourself. You give and receive candid feedback knowing it's the fastest way to earn trust and do great work together.
What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or solutions engineering for enterprise security, cloud, or SaaS—paired with a BS/MS in a STEM field, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Deep domain familiarity across enterprise security infrastructure (including identity, cloud security, application security, and DevSecOps) combined with a foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies.
- Proven track record in B2B positioning and messaging for complex products, with a demonstrated ability to translate technical differentiators into compelling narratives that resonate with both technical and executive buyers.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, bringing a distinct mix of precision on the page and confidence on the stage.
- High technical agility, featuring the ability to pick up new technical domains quickly and operate comfortably in early-stage product environments where market definitions and buyer vocabularies are still forming.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Deep domain expertise spanning identity security, Zero Trust access, or cloud security GTM, paired with a strong familiarity with emerging agentic AI concepts, AI governance, and the security implications of LLM-based autonomous agents.
- Proven track record in category creation, with experience successfully launching products in nascent, unformed markets and defining security challenges before buyers fully understand them.
- A portfolio that demonstrates intellectual courage, featuring bold positioning, original frameworks, and compelling narratives that challenge conventional thinking and help buyers see problems in a new light.
