Accountabilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise to support the development of clinical practice standards, policies, procedures, guidelines, and tools.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on evidence-informed decision-making and improved client outcomes.
- Provide consultation and guidance to program managers, clinical leaders, and healthcare providers on professional practice matters.
- Conduct literature reviews, practice evaluations, and research assessments to develop evidence-based resources and recommendations.
- Create and deliver education programs, training materials, and learning resources based on clinical and operational needs.
- Design curricula aligned with program objectives, accreditation requirements, and professional practice standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of education initiatives and continuously improve learning programs.
- Support the adoption of clinical best practices across service delivery programs.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer related to professional standards, regulatory requirements, competencies, and accreditation expectations.
- Monitor clinical outcome indicators using internal data sources and provide insights to support improvement initiatives.
- Participate in committees, working groups, and collaborative initiatives related to healthcare quality and professional practice.
- Coach and support teams regarding emerging clinical issues, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to emergency and disaster response planning by providing clinical expertise and supporting organizational preparedness.
- Collaborate with program leaders to promote efficient, high-quality healthcare services for individuals, families, and communities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current registration with the provincial nursing regulatory body.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent and relevant clinical nursing experience in a home care or community care setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience developing and delivering education programs and support materials.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives, clinical standards, and evidence-based practice.
- Project management experience is considered an asset.
- Canadian Nursing Association (CNA) certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and professional discretion.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required.
- Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may be required.
- French language skills are considered an asset in designated French-speaking areas.
- Ability to comply with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements when applicable.
- Ability to perform physical activities related to the role, including walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting or carrying using appropriate techniques.
