Role Overview
The Sr. Technology Advisor serves as the critical bridge between LaSalle's business operations and its technology organization. This individual is a trusted advisor to business leaders and operational teams, responsible for driving technology adoption, delivering training programs, managing change, and contributing to the technology roadmap. The role sits within the AI & Technology Advisory team and partners closely with all teams under the technology organization.
Purpose of the Role
Technology investments only deliver value when people use them effectively. This role exists to close the gap between technology deployment and business adoption — ensuring that every capability LaSalle deploys is understood, embraced, and measurably used by the people it is built to serve.
The Sr. Technology Advisor does this through three interconnected activities:
- Building trusted relationships with business users and leadership so that technology is pulled into the organization, not pushed onto it.
- Running structured change management and training programs so that users are confident and capable from day one.
- Tracking adoption metrics and holding business units accountable for achieving agreed adoption targets.
Core Responsibilities
Stakeholder Advisory & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with operations managers, business unit leaders, and senior stakeholders.
- Participate in bi-weekly Stakeholder Management Sessions and regular Leadership Strategic Alignment meetings to surface issues early and align expectations.
- Represent the voice of the business within the Technology Advisory team, translating operational needs into technology requirements.
- Contribute to the bi-annual Business/Tech Strategy Sessions by presenting business unit perspectives and adoption progress.
Change Management
- Own end-to-end change management for technology rollouts within assigned business units, from impact assessment through stabilization.
- Develop and execute change management plans including stakeholder mapping, communication strategies, resistance management, and success measurement.
- Coordinate UAT activities, ensuring business users are engaged, feedback is captured, and issues are resolved before go-live.
- Partner with the LaSalle support team to ensure L1/L2 coverage is in place ahead of launches and that escalation paths are clearly communicated.
- Manage pilot programs and proof-of-concept deployments, gathering structured feedback to inform full rollout decisions.
Training & Enablement
- Design, develop, and deliver training programs for new and existing technology capabilities — spanning virtual sessions, hands-on workshops, and self-service materials.
- Work with product and support team to build and maintain a training content library within the knowledge base, ensuring materials are current with each product release.
- Tailor training delivery to audience needs — from executive briefings to operational how-to sessions — across varied levels of technical familiarity.
- Partner with the Data Products & Governance team to deliver data literacy programs that build confidence in self-service analytics tools including Genie and Hive.
- Coordinate with the Intelligent Automation & AI team to enable users on automation tools including PowerAutomate and Aurachain.
Technology Adoption Tracking & Accountability
- Build and maintain adoption dashboards, tracking usage trends across business units and regions.
- Conduct regular adoption reviews with business unit leaders, presenting performance against targets and agreeing remediation plans where adoption is below expectations.
- Identify and escalate adoption blockers — whether process, skills, or technology — to the relevant team for resolution.
- Report adoption progress to the Tech Council and Leadership Strategic Alignment meetings, providing executive-level visibility.
Technology Roadmap Contribution
- Gather and synthesize business feedback from stakeholders to inform the technology roadmap and prioritization decisions.
- Identify unmet business needs and emerging use cases, escalating opportunities to the Product and Engineering team for evaluation.
- Participate in vendor evaluation processes, representing the end-user perspective and providing structured feedback on usability and fit.
- Contribute to the annual roadmap planning cycles, ensuring business priorities are reflected in technology investment decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 5+ years of experience in technology advisory, business analysis, change management, or related roles within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Proven ability to influence without authority — building credibility with both business stakeholders and technology teams.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs across varied audiences and formats.
- Experience defining and tracking technology adoption metrics, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills, with experience running structured change management programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to C-suite and operational audiences alike.
- Ability to travel 30-40% of the time depending on the region of representation.
Preferred
- Experience in commercial real estate, investment management, or financial services.
- Experience working across global, multi-time zone teams in a distributed environment.
- Background in product management or business partnering within a technology function.
