SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

You will serve as a Supervisory Environmental Engineer as Head of the Environment Division (106.3), Occupational Safety Health and Environment Office (OSHE) (106), and the Chief Environmental Engineer of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. You will develop effective and efficient teams and organizations You will evaluate environmental programs to ensure that staff, equipment, and procedures are adequate to meet environmental legal/regulatory requirements and objectives. You will provide consultation and advice to management and technical personnel, particularly in dealing with issues not readily covered by established methods/guidance. You will communicate and participate in public relations sufficient to represent the command in both internal and higher echelon meetings and conferences. You will participate in dealings/negotiations with representatives of regulatory agencies, and dealings with the public.
