Your Team, Your Impact
As a Principal analog custom layout engineer, you will contribute to the development of High-Speed Connectivity,Broadband Analog and Computing/Storage-Memory Data-Transport products (including functional blocks such as high-speed digital,
multi-GHz ADC/DAC, PLL/DLL serial and parallel I/O, and clock generation/distribution for custom ICs).
Your proven record of laying out high-performance analog circuits in state-of-the-art CMOS process technologies,
managing a custom analog layout team, successfully performed top-level integrations, and placed products into volume production multiple times complements our team.
What You Can Expect
• Drawing layouts for schematics created by Circuit Design Engineers, using industry standard CAD tools, in deep sub-micron, FinFET technologies.
• Effectively communicate with Design Engineers to clarify and realize the layout requirements based on the schematic functions.
• Provide feedback to Circuit Design Engineers on any modifications to schematics after layouts are completed.
• Interact with Physical Verification (PV) team to analyze DRC, LVS, ANT, ERC, and EMIR results and achieve PV closure.
• Adhere to Marvell’s core behaviors and strive to continuously improve your skills as an Analog Layout Engineer.
• Experienced in Cadence “Virtuoso VXL” and/or Synopsys “Custom Compiler” layout tools.
• Experienced in Mentor Graphics “Calibre” drc/lvs verification tool.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in teams, including remote design teams.
• Ability to work across functions and levels.
Work with global teams across Argentina, APAC, the U.S., Canada and Europe. Project durations vary from a few months to a year and a half with flexibility to switch based on changing priorities is appreciated.
Regular meetings with your paired ensure collaborative information sharing, integral to Marvell's commitment to partnership and teamwork. As a key contributor, you play a crucial role in the project lifecycle, participating in routine meetings as a technical mentor, layout team, and the broader project team. These interactions include updates on progress and may involve presenting specific issues or solutions encountered during the development of cutting-edge technologies. The dynamic nature of our work ensures continuous learning and knowledge-sharing among colleagues.
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 15+ years of related professional experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 10-12 years of experience.
• PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 8-10 years of experience.
Expected Base Pay Range
54,800 - 73,100, EUR per annumThe successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
