Custom Application Support Developer - Bogota

BogotaFullTimeCOP 9.3M–10.6M/moPosted Jul 21, 2026

Pariveda is a North American-based, employee-owned professional services firm. We provide strategy and technology services across industries. As a mission-driven organization and Certified B Corp, we enable our clients to imagine and do more, whether it’s making next quarter’s goals or navigating the future. From ideas to impact, we help clients get better at what they do to improve people and profits. Learn more about our mission and culture as well as our recruitment process and interview prep.

Pariveda's Internal IT department builds and supports the data, applications, and systems that run the firm. We are hiring a Custom Application Support Developer to join the team, with a primary focus on a propriety internal platform that is core to our people operations and career development.

This role is part application development, part system support, and part knowledge management. You will grow to own the day-to-day operational health of this platform: triaging user issues, resolving bugs, improving data quality, and building the documentation and tooling that makes the system more self-service over time. You will also contribute to feature development across this and other internal applications.

This is not a pure feature-development role. If you find satisfaction in making systems reliable, users self-sufficient, and operational work disappear through automation and good documentation, this is a strong fit. In this role, you’ll be challenged to learn, grow, and make an impact.

To learn more about our culture, review our Findamentals — the behaviors that show who we are.

You Can Expect To:

  • Triage incoming bug reports and feature requests; resolve known issue types autonomously and escalate novel or high-risk issues with clear context

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues in relational SQL databases and non-relational database containers, including cross-container data migrations in Cosmos DB

  • After ramp-up, serve as the primary point of contact for our custom internal platform user support via Slack and our intake board, communicating directly with application users to understand and resolve their issues and triage their improvement ideas

  • Monitor application health and build alerting for edge-case failures

  • Incrementally automate recurring operational tasks such as manual data corrections, reducing the team's operational overhead over time

  • Implement features, enhancements, and bug fixes in internal applications using Node.js, TypeScript, React, and Azure services

  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and backlog grooming with the development team

  • Support release management and deployment through existing CI/CD pipelines

  • Assist with integrations between internal enterprise applications, systems, and data stores

  • Build and maintain user-facing help documentation, FAQs, and release notes so that users can self-serve common questions

  • Create and maintain developer-facing runbooks, troubleshooting decision trees, and system documentation

  • Keep documentation current as features are released and the UI evolves

  • Write and expand automated test coverage — unit, integration, and regression — to catch issues before users encounter them

  • Develop deeper expertise in Azure services, .NET, and other technologies in our stack as the role evolves

  • Apply agile practices including iterative delivery and fail-fast experimentation

  • Seek and respond to feedback from peers, managers, and stakeholders

  • Participate in Pariveda's learning opportunities, community events, and culture of continuous development

  • Learn Pariveda's presentation style and communication techniques for technical and non-technical audiences

We Look For:

Required:

  • 1-3 years of professional full-stack software development and/or IT experience

  • Proficiency (not just exposure) in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js

  • Experience with React or a comparable front-end framework

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Git-based version control workflows

  • Comfort with command-line tooling and debugging

  • Exposure to, and comfort using, GAI development tools on at least one platform (Claude, Codex, etc)

  • Strong written communication skills – this role lives in Slack, documentation, and user-facing help content

  • Ability to set and hold reasonable response-time boundaries with stakeholders without being adversarial

  • Self-directed, proactive approach to work — you identify what needs to be done next rather than waiting to be assigned

  • Willingness to own support and operational work as a core part of the role, not a distraction from it

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or comparable experience

  • Fluency in English is required for communication with US-based colleagues

  • Legally authorized to work in Colombia

Preferred:

  • Experience with Azure services (App Service, Functions, Cosmos DB, or similar)

  • CI/CD pipeline experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)

  • Experience writing automated tests (unit and integration)

  • Familiarity with NoSQL or document databases

  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, or observability tools

Bonus

  • C# / .NET experience

  • Technical writing or documentation maintenance experience

  • Experience supporting production applications in a user-facing capacity
