International Card Services (ICS) brings together our International Consumer and Small & Medium Size Enterprises (SME) issuing activities, as well as our Commercial Large Market sales and account development teams. ICS issues Cards in 27 countries, and is responsible for two Joint Ventures covering around a dozen countries. The leaders in these countries are empowered to make decisions at a local level, in partnership with other local business leaders. Local teams are supported by two cross-market teams – the Centre of Excellence, and Risk & Control Management.
Within our International Card Services Organization, we are looking for an Inside Sales Representative, looking after a set of Small Business Clients, with an assigned portfolio.
- Drive portfolio growth by expanding Billed Business and Revenue across an assigned portfolio of Small Business customers.
- Lead internal acquisition through proactive outbound phone engagement, identifying customer needs and recommending relevant American Express solutions.
- Build strong, long-lasting customer relationships through regular phone conversations, acting as a trusted advisor and maximizing customer value.
- Develop and execute tailored account strategies to identify growth opportunities, increase customer engagement, and minimize portfolio attrition.
- Own and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by managing outbound sales activities and converting opportunities into business growth.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Risk & Credit, Global Merchant Services and Marketing, to deliver the best outcomes for customers.
- Deliver compelling remote sales presentations and consultative conversations, leveraging strong product knowledge and best-in-class sales practices.
Preferred previous commercial experience, with a proven track of strong sales results (3-5 years)

Employment eligibility to work with American Express in Italy is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement: Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi
Salary Range: €30.000 to €50.000 annually + bonus + benefits
The advertised salary range is based on full-time employment and will be prorated for part-time roles.
