Job Description Summary

Within the Türkiye Technology Center (TTC), the Additive Technologies team develops design, analysis, and production techniques using powder bed fusion additive manufacturing methods.

We are looking to hire a long-term additive & test enabling hardware design engineering intern for up to 11 months, with an initial 6-month period and an optional 5-month extension, to be employed in our team.

Additive & Test Enabling Hardware (TEH) Design Engineering Intern will be responsible for supporting our team in design and TEH development studies. The main working location for this role is Kartal/Istanbul.

Role Overview

  • Preparation, analysis, and modifications of the geometry of production and test parts, evaluating analyses
  • Literature research on additive design analysis and calculation methods
  • Organizing and tracking work procedures
  • Supporting the team's reporting and documentation needs

The Ideal Candidate

Candidates who are eager to develop themselves in additive and test enabling hardware design, modeling, and have strong research skills and engineering knowledge, and are enthusiastic about applying their academic knowledge to technology development methods.

Required Qualifications

  • Studying in mechanical, mechatronics, metallurgy, manufacturing, and similar engineering departments at universities
  • Must remain enrolled as a student throughout the internship period; preference given to third-year undergraduate students or master's degree students
  • Proficient in English
  • High sense of responsibility
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, with basic knowledge in root cause analysis
  • Basic knowledge in finite element analysis methods
  • Basic knowledge in geometry modeling with CAD tools
  • Strong academic research skills, with high documentation quality
  • Flexible working hours during the academic term (minimum 3 days a week) and full-time work during the summer term
  • Willing to learn, with good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in additive manufacturing technologies or test system
  • Knowledge of the working principles of additive manufacturing design method
  • Proficiency in CAD programs
