Cluster Groups, Meetings & Events Sales Manager
The Cluster Groups, Meetings & Events Manager leads the strategic and operational delivery of group, meetings, conferences, and event business across both Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa and DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji – Sonaisali Island.
This role drives conversion, maximizes revenue opportunities, and ensures seamless execution of events from enquiry to post-event follow-up. Working closely with Cluster Commercial, Revenue, and Operations teams, the Manager plays a key part in delivering exceptional guest experiences while achieving business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to grow group and events revenue across both properties
- Drive conversion of enquiries to confirmed business
- Identify new market opportunities and optimize existing segments
- Upsell event services, catering, and packages
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the Cluster GME team
- Set KPIs and performance targets aligned to cluster goals
- Ensure adherence to Hilton standards and systems
- Build a collaborative, high-performing team culture
Client Relationship Management
- Manage relationships with key corporate, MICE, and travel partners
- Act as senior contact for high-value and complex events
- Conduct site visits, presentations, and contract negotiations
- Drive client satisfaction and repeat business
Event Planning & Execution
- Oversee planning and coordination of all group and event activity
- Ensure accurate event documentation and communication
- Liaise with key operational departments
- Deliver events aligned with Hilton brand standards
Operational Excellence
- Ensure timely preparation of proposals, contracts, and event orders
- Monitor event quality and resolve escalations
- Conduct post-event reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Cluster Collaboration
- Drive integration and alignment across both properties
- Partner with Sales, Revenue, and Marketing teams
- Contribute to forecasting, reporting, and strategy execution
