Role responsibilities
The Medical Lab Technician I supports high-quality laboratory testing by preparing specimens, performing routine tests, and conducting quality control procedures. They also troubleshoot laboratory instruments and assist in training laboratory personnel.
Requirements
Candidates are required to have a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a relevant medical discipline, or an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician is preferred, and if not certified, must be obtained within the first year of employment.
