This role will be directly reporting to Landside Delivery Manager - Thailand with approx 10 Subordinate position.
This role manages the orders that come from Maersk CS/Direct Customer (via email or TMS system) for all inland transportation mode(Ocean Export & Import, Domestic and e-commerce) and coordinate with other Maersk internal stakeholder/Supplier to provide good quality of truck. Moreover, this position has to make sure supplier or Operations team can control and perform excellence operations performance as per agreed KPI.
Job Description
- Lead the team to manage the customer’s orders that come from muti-Channel
- Overall responsibility on land transport operations within Maersk group.
- Drive Growth and business transformation/ platform as per company direction
- Perform daily review of transportation volume and plan to ensure resource are effectively deployed to satisfy customer demand.
- Manage Transport Planning function consist of Transport Strategic Planning and Resource Planning.
- Ensure to deliver the best utilization subcontractor transport resources daily basis, impact to P&L for Transport Cost improvement, comply with local law, Transport Safety Standard and Customer agreement including Subcontractor agreement.
- Ensure good collaborative relationship with customer, vendors and monitor vendor service, report trends to manager and relationship liaisons. Conduct supplier performance management.
- Manage the performance of transport vendors and ensure that they follow the customer SOP and safety procedures
- Initiate the best value of Transport Planning function to internal & external customer by identify the key performance indicator.
- Take the role as customer fronting leader to ensure good collaborative relationship with customer, not limited to vendors communication as well as standard service level monitoring and control, report trends to manager and relationship liaisons. Conduct supplier performance management.
- Manage team with balance workload, resolve issue arise within team or colleague cross functional.
- Conduct Cost Control and Analysis, leading to improvement in profitability.
- Conduct operation process to optimize productivity with IT Tools.
- Coaching and training Intermodal staffs to understand operational processes, role & responsibility. Keep monitoring to ensure established operational processes are strictly followed.
- Act as a coach and mentor to subordinates on operational activities to resolve/prevent problems and facilitate skills development including training & development plans for subordinates to meet business objectives.
- Develop, review and improve working procedures to maintain high standards of operational and efficiency, productivity, quality of service, reliability, safety and a healthy work environment.
- Monitor billing support document status to ensure on-time submission of billing support document.
- Review monthly KPI result and initiate action plan to improve the result.
- Work closely with relevant stakeholder to deliver great service experience to customer.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
