Accountabilities:

    The Senior Accessibility Specialist will act as a subject matter expert responsible for advancing accessibility initiatives, supporting cross-functional teams, and ensuring digital experiences align with accessibility standards and best practices. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to translate accessibility requirements into practical solutions.

    • Lead complex accessibility audits and assessments across websites, digital products, and user experiences using automated and manual testing methods.
    • Evaluate digital experiences against WCAG 2.2 standards and applicable accessibility requirements, identifying barriers and recommending effective remediation strategies.
    • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight to Accessibility Specialists and contract resources.
    • Support the development and implementation of accessibility strategies, standards, policies, documentation, and best practices.
    • Collaborate with design, development, content, product, and client teams to integrate accessibility throughout the full digital lifecycle.
    • Conduct accessibility testing using automated tools, manual evaluation techniques, keyboard navigation, assistive technologies, and screen readers.
    • Perform HTML and CSS accessibility improvements when appropriate and provide implementation guidance to development teams.
    • Review wireframes, prototypes, designs, and development deliverables, providing accessibility recommendations and annotations within design systems and tools.
    • Communicate accessibility findings, remediation recommendations, project updates, and best practices to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
    • Support accessibility training, onboarding, and awareness initiatives to promote inclusive digital practices.
    • Partner with clients and external stakeholders to address accessibility requirements and improve conformance outcomes.
    • Stay current with accessibility regulations, technologies, and industry trends to strengthen organizational capabilities.
    • Contribute to the creation of accessibility resources, templates, tools, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced accessibility professional with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating inclusive digital experiences. You should be comfortable leading complex accessibility initiatives while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

      • 4–7+ years of experience in digital accessibility, UX, front-end development, quality assurance, or related fields.
      • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 standards, accessibility principles, and digital inclusion best practices.
      • Experience performing accessibility testing through automated tools and manual testing methodologies.
      • Familiarity with accessibility testing platforms such as Siteimprove, Deque, UsableNet, or similar solutions.
      • Experience with assistive technologies, including screen readers, keyboard navigation testing, and accessibility evaluation techniques.
      • Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS, with working knowledge of JavaScript preferred.
      • Experience implementing accessibility remediations and reviewing websites, digital products, user interfaces, and documents for compliance.
      • Familiarity with Figma and accessibility annotation practices is preferred.
      • Experience mentoring team members, supervising contractors, or providing technical leadership is a plus.
      • Experience working with cross-functional design and development teams, preferably within digital products, consulting, or agency environments.
      • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
      • Accessibility certifications such as CPACC, WAS, or CPWA are preferred.
      • Ability to communicate complex accessibility concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
