As a Site Reliability Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing cutting-edge software solutions focused on process automation. Your expertise will drive the design, development, and deployment of innovative automation technologies that enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

You will report directly to our Sr Software Eng Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Hamilton, NJ location on a Hybrid work schedule. 
 

In this role, you will impact the automation of complex industrial processes by creating scalable, reliable, and efficient software systems that support Honeywell’s mission to deliver advanced technological solutions to our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing technical support for the deployment of different applications on customers’ on-prem and cloud systems.
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
  • Analyze proprietary software Systems log files, stack traces as well as various related technology logs for root cause problem determination. 
  • Troubleshoot software application issues at a code level, by stepping through the application logic for programs (proprietary languages).
  • Installs maintains, and upgrades applications.
  • Work on projects executed across geographies and cultures.
  • Research and provide infrastructure solutions to customers based on the scope and requirements.
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and procedures.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in software development and knowledge of DevOps pipelines and Power BI
  • Design, deploy, and support highly available, secure, and scalable cloud solutions using AWS to support mission-critical Healthcare & Life Sciences applications.
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes and Docker platforms, ensuring reliability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
  • Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bamboo, Octopus Deploy, FluxCD, and SonarQube to enable seamless software delivery.
  • Develop infrastructure automation and provisioning using Terraform, PowerShell, Shell scripting, and Azure CLI.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows environments, including software installation, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Implement and support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions across cloud and virtualized platforms.
  • Manage enterprise networking components including TCP/IP, DNS, NGINX, HAProxy, and load balancing to ensure application availability and performance.
  • Support Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, and identity management to maintain secure and compliant infrastructure.
  • Design and maintain high-availability architectures, perform capacity planning, and drive continuous reliability improvements.
  • Establish monitoring, observability, and incident management practices to reduce downtime, improve system health, and accelerate root-cause resolution.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to implement SRE best practices, automation, and operational governance.

     

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's in engineering or higher in Information Technology / Computer Science Engineering.
  • Certification of Cloud Platform and Infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
  • Certification of DevOps tools. 
     

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,200 - $124,100. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
