Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and maintain software systems capable of managing large-scale bare metal server environments across multiple data centers.
- Develop services and automation workflows for hardware inventory, asset management, firmware updates, operating system deployment, and infrastructure lifecycle operations.
- Create automated validation, diagnostics, remediation, and recovery solutions to improve system availability and resilience.
- Build APIs, tools, and self-service workflows that simplify infrastructure operations for engineering teams.
- Implement observability solutions through metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and automated alerting.
- Develop and maintain testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable software delivery.
- Lead technical projects from concept through deployment and operational ownership.
- Participate in architecture reviews and influence infrastructure automation strategies and platform modernization initiatives.
- Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
- Support production systems, including troubleshooting and participating in on-call rotations when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience and training.
- 5+ years of experience in software development and engineering.
- Strong programming skills across multiple languages, technologies, and frameworks.
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, system design, data modeling, and established design patterns.
- Experience designing and building scalable applications or services.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
- Experience with software engineering tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience developing and operating infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Ability to deliver high-quality solutions while working in agile, collaborative environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions and collaborate across teams.
- Experience automating hardware lifecycle management, firmware orchestration, and capacity management for large physical infrastructure environments.
- Knowledge of bare metal provisioning technologies such as PXE/iPXE, Redfish, and BMC/IPMI.
- Experience integrating bare metal infrastructure with virtualization or private cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with platforms such as OpenStack, VMware, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
- Experience with observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or Datadog.
- Knowledge of storage technologies, distributed storage systems, and secure infrastructure design principles.
