Job Summary
Performs electrical maintenance and machine support activities to ensure manufacturing equipment remains available, reliable, and capable of meeting production requirements. Works with limited supervision to diagnose, repair, maintain, and improve electrical systems, CNC machines, PLC-controlled equipment, and factory automation systems. Adheres to established safety, quality, and maintenance standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting- Perform electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance on manufacturing equipment, CNC machines, PLC-controlled systems, and factory automation equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical control system issues to restore equipment to proper operating condition.
- Execute preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities while maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Support equipment uptime through downtime analysis, root cause identification, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Interpret electrical diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and technical specifications to complete maintenance activities effectively.
- Assist in machine programming and automation improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Support manufacturing operations by minimizing equipment downtime and production disruptions.
- Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints through proactive maintenance and process improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and equipment effectiveness.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities around operational requirements.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to improve preventive maintenance systems and equipment performance.
- Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship in all maintenance activities.
- Follow established quality procedures, maintenance documentation, and operational standards.
- Perform quality inspections and identify opportunities to reduce quality and cost exposures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to all Cummins Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Identify, report, and address workplace hazards and safety concerns.
- Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

- Communicate effectively with production teams, maintenance personnel, and support functions.
- Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities and cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma, Secondary Education Certificate, ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Additional technical certifications in Electrical Maintenance, PLCs, CNC systems, or Industrial Automation are advantageous.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

- Strong knowledge of CNC machines and PLC-based manufacturing equipment.

- Experience working with CNC machines, PLC-controlled systems, and factory automation equipment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices within a manufacturing environment.
