The Role and Impact The Intel NPU IP team is looking for a Sr Digital Verification Engineer to work on the validation of NPU AI accelerator products. In this role you will join the NPU Hardware Pre-Silicon Validation team working closely with design engineers, model engineers and AI architects to validate components of the next generation NPU IP portfolio, your contributions will directly shape Intel's advancements in AI technologies. As an expert in the field of pre-Silicon verification, you will be seen as the go to person on the blocks that you have ownership and sign-off responsibility for. The primary role will be focused on pre-Silicon functional, power and performance validation however experience in formal verification methodologies and assertion-based verification using System Verilog Assertions (SVA) is considered highly. Your responsibilities will include: • Functional and/or Formal Verification of complex low power digital design block(s) on the latest generations of Intel's NPU AI accelerators. • Architect, development and implementation of verification environments from initial planning through the validation lifecycle to review and signoff. • Development of test plans and test cases • Implementation of random test generators, high level transactional models, bus functional models (BFMs), functional/formal constraints, checkers and scoreboards, coverpoints/covergroups and SVA properties • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyses and address next-generation AI requirements, influencing the AI product roadmap. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. - 8+ years of relevant industry experience, in pre-silicon validation of IP's, ASIC, SoC, or FPGA designs. - Fully proficient with industry standard verification tools and methodologies (System Verilog, VCS, UVM, OVM etc) - Expertise in developing testbenches, test plans, and functional/formal verification environments. - Proven track record of signing off complex designs through coverage closure and related techniques. - A self-starter with good communication and interpersonal skills. - Proven ability to collaborate in diverse team environments and take on leadership roles. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, innovative environment. Preferred Knowledge - Experience with validating low power and high performance designs, HW accelerators being a major plus. - Proficiency in System Verilog Assertions. - Experience with formal verification techniques and tools - Knowledge of Git and Continuous Integration (CI) practices. - Established knowledge of SoC based CPUs, NoCs, AMBA protocols, and memory controllers. - Experience with other programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Shell scripting and TCL. - Understanding of deep learning techniques and experience working with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV is an advantage. - Passion for exploring and AI techniques, tools and flows to aid in faster validation closure. Annual Salary Range for this job which could be performed in Ireland is: €76,900.00 - €142,100.00
