Materials Flow Manager

What will you do:
Manage the design and execution of materials from storage point to the point of use.
Manage all processes related to inventory accuracy such as cycle count, physical inventory counts, root cause analysis, and inventory adjustments.
Oversee the operation of internal and external Distribution Center, receiving areas and material handling.
Consolidate materials flow strategy across JCI Cienega factory and external warehouses
Optimize inventory levels, streamlined logistics operations, continuous material availability, and alignment with production and customer requirements while driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
How will you do it:
Flow design
Define, maintain, and improve material replenishment flows, triggers, transportation modalities and standard quantities for all manufacturing lines.
Develop material flow from warehouse to factory prod lines and internal material supply to Point of Use (POU) using Lean manufacturing concept principles.
Collaborate with planning, quality, manufacturing, procurement and regional teams to define material safety stock, supplier ordering quantities, packaging configuration and standard labeling to streamline receiving, ensure quality and traceability and minimize repackaging and facilitate cycle counting.
Support key initiatives like Supplier Just-in-time, Kitting, and kanban deployment.
Optimize on-site and off-site storage to improve replenishment response at minimum costs.
Set direction and strategy to the Lean Logistics group to design everything related to how materials are storage and moved from point to point, such as, rack design, bins, transit paths, etc.
Support layout and facility blueprint enhancements.
Deploy JCMS standards.
Flow execution
Operations Management: Overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide variety of products.
Lead and manage internal and external crews to support and consolidate continuous improvement activities
Implement Standard Work methodology across warehouse operations at site and external warehouses.
Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategies to increase productivity and achieve sales targets.
Staff Supervision: Leading and motivating a large and diverse team of employees.
Problem-Solving: Addressing unexpected issues in the distribution and warehouse management processes.
Organizational Skills: Ensuring inventory is accurately tracked, stored, and distributed.
Communication: Interacting with employees, vendors, and management to build relationships with key stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
Required:
Bachelor's degree required in (Industrial) Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Proficient reading, writing and communicating in English
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management roles.
SAP, WMS and MES experience
3PL Warehouse management experience
Lean Manufacturing experience.
Preferred:
Six Sigma green belt training
APICS CPIM
HVAC or Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
Superior computer skills in MS Office applications
Strong desire for learning and improvement
