Accountabilities:

    The Vice President/Head of Finance will own the development and execution of financial strategy while building scalable systems, processes, and teams to support business growth. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage complex financial operations, provide strategic insights, and partner with executive stakeholders.

    • Lead the complete finance function, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, reporting, cash flow management, and financial operations across multiple revenue streams.
    • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on capital allocation, business model evolution, growth initiatives, and financial implications of operational transformation.
    • Develop and maintain financial infrastructure supporting a transition from a managed services model toward a scalable technology-enabled platform.
    • Own budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance reporting processes to support business decision-making.
    • Oversee project-based accounting operations, including cost tracking, project profitability analysis, billing processes, revenue recognition, and financial controls.
    • Ensure accurate accounting practices across complex projects, multi-entity structures, and procurement-related financial workflows.
    • Establish strong internal controls to safeguard client funds and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
    • Lead financial due diligence for acquisitions, including quality of earnings analysis, valuation modeling, integration planning, and earnout structure evaluation.
    • Support M&A strategy through financial modeling, transaction analysis, risk assessment, and post-acquisition performance tracking.
    • Design reporting frameworks that provide visibility at both entity and consolidated levels for leadership and board-level decision-making.
    • Manage relationships with financial partners, auditors, advisors, and external service providers.
    • Build, mentor, and scale the finance team while implementing systems and automation solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to streamline workflows, reduce manual processes, and enhance financial operations.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced finance leader with strong operational expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to build financial infrastructure in a high-growth environment. You should be comfortable balancing hands-on execution with executive-level decision support.

      • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 3–5+ years in senior finance leadership positions.
      • Demonstrated expertise in project-based construction accounting, including draw management, project cost tracking, revenue recognition, and financial controls within construction, procurement, or similar environments.
      • Proven experience leading M&A activities, including financial due diligence, acquisition modeling, valuation analysis, integration planning, and earnout structures.
      • Experience working within venture-backed startups, technology companies, or rapidly scaling organizations with investor-grade reporting requirements.
      • Strong understanding of multi-entity financial structures, consolidation processes, and operational finance management.
      • Experience building finance functions, processes, and systems in environments where infrastructure is still evolving.
      • AI-native mindset with experience identifying automation opportunities, designing efficient workflows, and implementing technology-driven improvements.
      • Familiarity with hybrid business models combining services, marketplaces, and software/platform revenue streams is preferred.
      • Background in commercial real estate, construction technology, procurement, hospitality, or related industries is a plus.
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations.
      • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executives, boards, investors, and cross-functional teams.
      • Comfortable operating independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a builder mentality and a collaborative approach.
