JOB PURPOSE
This role exists to deliver the supply chain aspects of new product development. A successful Innovation Planner will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to project timelines, champion design for supply chain principles, engage relevant partners, and manage system setup for new items. Working together with cross functional teams, the successful planner constantly looks for opportunities to enhance the supply chain operations via sourcing, portfolio simplification, cost optimisation and innovation network management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver innovations on-time and in-full.
- SAP/Item setup execution.
- Waste mitigation - materials, FG, capex.
- Continuous improvement - innovation forecast accuracy, product lead times, etc.
- Flawless project hand-offs to production/Supply Planning team.
- Who You Are & What You’ll Do
- Detail-oriented problem solver with a can-do attitude and practical approach to operational challenges.
- Strong communicator with a passion for connecting cross-functionally to improve processes and deliver on business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manufacturers to deliver innovation and renovation projects.
- Scope projects, define supply chain activities and timelines, and ensure timely delivery.
- Own the supply chain elements from kick-off to first delivery, engaging with supply planning to transition from innovation to steady state production.
- Support Strategic Planning and Procurement to ensure supply chain capacities and capabilities.
- Ensure on-time, fully validated innovation forecasts from partners in Brand and Customer Development.
- Coordinate SC drivers and Capex inputs to business cases, working closely with Procurement, Strategic Planning, and Process Engineering teams.
- Prepare supply chain inputs for gate documents and decision outlines.
- Signal supply chain risks to the project teams, and advise on mitigation options, balancing margin/revenue trade-offs with original project scope.
- Oversee runout planning for timeline transitions with reduced write-offs and obsolescence.
- Develop plans to reduce lead times and improve margins over time.
- Support risk assessments, gather inputs from supply chain subject matter experts, and ensure action plans are embedded in supply chain timelines.
- Partner with Strategic Planning to support complexity reduction and sourcing analysis.
- Manage communication with key project stakeholders regarding supply chain activities and risks.
- Maintain a Risk and Contingency Planning (RACP) matrix for key materials, ensuring risk mitigation actions in partnership with Category Procurement.
- Ensure capacity analysis for key suppliers (CMs) in partnership with CM Operations.
- Ensure delivered quality for innovations, maintaining all safety standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 4 years of experience in Planning.Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.Cross functional business/sourcing/innovation process knowledge.Project management skills.Experience in MS Project and Power BI.
