Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Job Title: Engineering & Maintenance ManagerLocation: New Orleans, LAPosition OverviewAegis Worldwide is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization in the New Orleans area to hire an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Manager. This individual will lead both the engineering and maintenance functions, driving reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the facility.This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a balance of strategic planning and active involvement on the shop floor. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with deep expertise in industrial maintenance operations and preventative maintenance systems.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee all maintenance and engineering operations within the facilityDevelop, implement, and continuously improve preventative maintenance (PM) programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliabilityManage day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring timely response to equipment issues and minimizing production downtimeProvide hands-on support and leadership on the production floor as neededDrive strategic initiatives related to equipment reliability, process improvement, and operational efficiencyLead capital projects, including planning, budgeting, execution, and post-project evaluationDevelop and manage departmental budgets, including capital expenditures and maintenance costsBuild, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance and engineering teamEstablish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and leadership teams to support business goalsEnsure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standardsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (required)6+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environmentStrong background in industrial maintenance operationsProven expertise in preventative maintenance planning and implementationExperience managing capital projects and budgetsDemonstrated ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindsetAbility to balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement on the shop floorPreferred QualificationsExperience with CMMS systems and maintenance tracking toolsLean manufacturing or Six Sigma experienceBackground in high-speed or process manufacturing environmentsWhy JoinThis is an opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role where you can shape maintenance and engineering strategy while staying closely connected to day-to-day operations.
